We provide Commercial and Residential Electrical contracting services to clients across the San Diego, CA area. Many of our clients who are home owners, find themselves in need of upgrading the amperage of their electrical service panel to make it possible for additional loads to be incorporated into the system, like a spa, pool equipment, air conditioning, or for additional loads required by a home remodel. Another reason we often encounter, is replacing an existing service panel that is no longer safe, due to deterioration or age of the equipment. Most home owners' initial reaction is feeling that the project wil be extremely complicated and inconvenient. Not so. Typically we schedule a panel replacement date through the city building department and SDG&E, within two weeks of contracting the project, and complete the change out in a single day. The process of upgrading the system can be scheduled as early as two weeks from the initial contract date through PRISM ELECTRIC, and involves either overhead or underground service conductors to be upgraded in size. Overhead services require the conduit rising through the roof / structure to be replaced and upsized for larger service entrance conductor installation, and underground services normally require trenching to SDG&E's nearest point of connection, for upsizing the underground conduit between that SDG&E service connection and the home electrical service, so larger service lateral conductors can be provided by SDG&E. PRISM ELECTRIC coordinates the entire project for clientele, from planning and permitting to installations and inspections, to achieve a smooth construction schedule and convenient process throughout the electrical construction and project scope.
